Alec Wilton who was a founder member of the Club sadly passed away recently at the age of 87. His funeral was on Friday 29th January.
The Thundertones will play on 3rd April (Easter weekend) in the Clutton Village Hall. 8 till late. It is a 50’s Rock N’ Roll Evening with a 5 piece tribute band. A 50’s Disco will be provided in the intervals. No buffet. Tickets £5 available from February. See below left.
.: London Marathon - Martin Stapleton
It has been a long ambition of mine to run the London Marathon. I have managed this year to secure a place for the 2010 event on the 25th April. I am hoping to raise £2000 for my chosen charity which is “The Prostate Cancer Charity”. My father died of this disease at the age of 48 so this is very close to me. The Social Club has donated £300 towards this.
Our club provides a variety of activities such as skittle matches, cribbage, dominoes, a snooker room, and a large screen for Sky broadcast football matches. The screen which hangs above the end of the skittle alley has been used for Wii games. Race Nights and Quiz Evenings have proved to be popular. If you want to participate in cribbage, snooker and dominoes contact the organisers - new players will be warmly welcomed. However, we would like to extend our range of activities. Please contact us if you have ideas.
Our joining fees are very reasonable £3 a year. Our drinks are much cheaper than the pubs - you soon recoup the joining fee. Contact Roy Taylor, membership secretary.

We have Snooker and Billiards teams playing in the Radstock & District Billiards & Snooker League. The Snooker Team is currently in Division 3. Click the link above for League Tables etc. Contact Pete Wilcox for details.
The Snooker Table is available for all members to use except on the evenings when a League Match is being played.

There were three winners at the weekend of 26th & 27th December. They each won £333.33. The tote pool is still standing at £1000 so keep on trying.

.: Dominoes
We play 5’s and 3’s. The aim of the game is to go once round the pinboard (61 holes). Points are scored by dividing the total of each end by 3 and 5 so 6 scores 2 but 15 scores 8. You start with the highest double. You also have to go out with the exact number. 5 games are played.
